A reversible, baby-sized wrap conversion with all the trimmings, this little pretty was created as a showcase of MMT’s best features, and travelled to sling libraries around the UK. It’s now home and, after being freshly laundered and checked for flaws, it’s up for grabs!
- Baby size (approximately 17″ high by 17″ wide)
- Infinity straps (padded at the shoulder for extra comfort, flaring to half wrap width for extra ‘under-bum’ support. Approx. 2.2m long)
- Leg padding
- Arm/neck padding
- Padded waistband and tie straps
- Adjustable flat hood with extensive freemotion embroidery on each side (7 hrs total!)
- All fabrics (body panels, hood) are 100% organic cotton wrap (Colimacon et Cie’s ‘Miel et Malice’ wrap, ’emerald’)
This carrier features extensive free-motion embroidery (a.k.a. thread painting) on both hood panels. These were created over several hours, using countless miles of thread of countless colours, blended and lovingly outlined in black. One one side is a hummingbird drinking from a hibiscus flower, on the other, a scene from ‘Guess How Much I Love You’; as the sling is reversible it’s like having two carriers for the price of 1!
For a detailed photo story of the creation of the hares embroidery, please see this blog post.
This carrier is classed as pre-loved. It has travelled to several sling libraries where it was used under the supervision of professionals. It has been laundered and thoroughly checked over at MMT HQ and there are no issues whatsoever with either the structural integrity or cosmetic quality although there is some very minor fading on the body where the shoulder straps join. The use has ‘broken in’ the wrap somewhat, leaving it supple and soft but still feeling solid and secure. This has been reflected in the heavily reduced price.
